The Cole is a MM and MC stand-alone phono amplifier. It features an external power transformer, power supply with tube rectification, Amorphous core MC step-up transformer and a point-to-point wiring with layout for the lowest noise and all PS components pre-mounted on the PCB. No NFB. Complete with a full colour assembly manual. CCS (constant current source) on the output stage lowers output impedance and gives enough drive for a TVC. SILK Supermalloy MC-step up transformer with Nano Winding Technology: Nnot all MC-step up transformers are the same! SILK Supermalloy MC-Step up Transformer takes several steps to design and build better transformers. The core material uses the best Supermalloy Nickel/Cobalt alloy core in the world to provide the highest inductance with lowest copper turn to allow extreme Nano Winding Technology that extends the frequency bandwidth with lowest phase shift and highest signal transfer. Nano Winding Technology is Silk's exclusive technique that starts with super small OFC wires (much smaller than human hair) woven to to extend high frequency by increasing the skin area of conductor (skin effect). The copper wire is also wound perfect lay to help maximize signal coupling. Silk's design reduces cartridge distortion by providing theoretical loading (true loading) down to 20Hz. Lab testing has proved that although most signal information on LP are consist of mid-high frequency due to RIAA standard, loading theMC-step-up transformer with true loading down to 20Hz helps lower throughout audio band. The 10x/20x is very versatile.. It can be connected in two ratios. With 1:10X step up, it will have 100 ohm load. With 1:20X step up, it will have 25 ohm load. Option 6: 2 pcs teflon tube sockets Why you need teflon tube sockets: They're expensive and may seem like an extravagaence but our beloved tubes are sensitive to vibrations and vibration is everywhere. Chassis born vibration softens the imaging and veils harmonics, robbing the music of its tonal tapestry. Teflon sockets act as a vibration break for the chassis' shakes and a damper for airborne vibes. It also grips the tube pins MUCH better than ceramic sockets and has a more favourable dielectric characteristic so high notes can soar! This is not a small improvement and I'd put it on the same level as a major cap upgrade, maybe even higher than that.	$30

LCR Cole : Tantalum resistor set, Obliggato coupling capacitors and now with SQ supermalloy 600 LCR module and SQ supermalloy stepup! This option uses constant current source loading on the anodes of 2 x 6922. Blackgate PS caps (5 x 150uf/350VK and 2 x 22uf/350VK). Silver wire. Obbligato teflon tinfoil interstage coupling caps. Our implementation of the LCR is unique - the input stage is direct coupled to the LCR module eliminating the need for a +50uf de-coupling cap in the signal path. The LCR option is only available assembled and price shown is assembled, complete with SQ supermalloy stepup transformer. No TX upgrade available nor possible. News Flash: The LCR Cole now includes the Blokker AC line filter module. In our line conditions we've found this to effect a major improvement.In stock item.
